Treasury Analyst-TACC MMCR

The primary purpose of the Treasury Accounting Department is providing accurate and timely shareholder activity information to various downstream clients (e.g. Investment Accounting, Portfolio Managers etc.) to ensure that fund net asset value calculations and sales reports accurately reflect the daily activity.

Working with us, you will be responsible for:

Performance standards:

• Report daily shareholder activity to Fund Accounting, including capital stock and holdover reporting
• Initiate money movements for shareholder activity between operational and fund custodial bank accounts
• Initiate money movements between operational and corporate accounts as commission and fee detail dictates
• Report large trades to Portfolio Managers, where applicable on a daily basis
• Perform daily reconciliation of accounts payable, accounts receivable, dividend event balancing, total outstanding shares and registered share reconciliations (when applicable)
• Ensure unresolved problems and issues are promptly escalated
• Problem solving, decision-making and analytical skills:
• Analyze and identify the trend, if any, from issues/exceptions
• Recommend ways to minimize the reoccurrence of such issues/exceptions. These recommendations can include training suggestions, system enhancements, process changes, policy changes
• Innovation and creativity:
• Recommend changes to further enhance the current accounting systems for productivity gains. Assist in testing the new features of the systems

Business insight:

• Work on special projects as assigned, such as participation as a subject matter expert on an enhancement recommendation or supporting a new product initiative

We are looking for candidates who:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred
• 1 – 3 years of accounting experience in automated environment
• Other education/training (could be part of degree program) advantageous in:
• Financial Accounting
• Teamwork, communication
• Personal computer applications (Microsoft Office)
