System Specification Engineer, User Plane

Nokia is also the only end-to-end mobile network vendor working with the major operators around the world.

5G System Architecture and Specification role consists of four main responsibility areas. Exact work split between the responsibility areas depends on role inside 5G&SC A&S.

1. Analysis and design of new products and related features for the 5G radio access technology:

• Analysis of customer feature requirements
• Provisioning of feasibility studies
• Interaction with standardization delegates on functions and procedures for the support of 5G
• Specification of concepts and system features

2. Working as technical leader for own area of responsibility (e.g. CFAM):

• Product design related technical lead of 5G development teams that make use of agile development methods
• Support and technical lead for features during verification, offering and customer application
• Support for the creation of customer documentation and communication material

3. Co-operation with product management in customer interface:

• Working as lead technical expert in discussions with 5G customers
• making 5G presentation to externals and supporting customer 5G demos

4. FS material preparation support:

• Internal technical/process co-operation
• Interworking with ATF team, with other Business Line A&S teams and with Bell Labs standardization
• Participation to related Quality and process development
