About you:

To be successful in this role, you’d be a role model who exemplifies our culture and is often appreciated for living our principles. As an QA Engineer you’ll play the lead role in our testing efforts to drive high quality continuous integration and deployment. This position is a hands-on testing role that also involves authoring and maintaining QA processes and test plans, coordinating QA activities, developing test metrics and ship-ready metrics, supervising test coverage and championing QA best practices.

You automate your work simply because you don’t like doing something twice. You don’t cling to only one programming language yet choose the right one for a given problem. You’re ready to grow, and know your career has no limits.

The experience you’ll need to succeed

• Researching and analyzing product features being tested
• Translating difficult problems into solutions
• Developing and implementing test plans for large scale distributed cloud-native technology stacks that follow industry the best measures for uptime
• Performing both manual and automated testing with a goal to automate as many of the manual tests as possible
• Developing and implementing automated testing frameworks, testing processes and the automated tests themselves
• Evolving Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment processes by helping to implement new workflows and tools with the goal of moving to test as close to the code change as possible
• Detailing results of tests and build bugs for the development team
• Identifying, isolating, and tracking bugs throughout testing
• Researching new tools, technologies, and testing processes
• Identifying quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement
• Maintaining updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements
• Experience with modern programming languages, preferably Java, Python and/or JS
• Being a standout colleague and able to work efficiently with minimal direction

On top of that ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with secure API testing
• Familiarity with functional, integration, system, performance, regression, load, black box and user acceptance testing using manual or automated testing techniques
• Ability to debug defects through the use of various error monitoring tools
• Knowledge of quality assurance tools, ticketing software
• Outstanding attention to details

This team is a newly formed group of Software Engineers. We are focusing on maintaining and adding new features and functionalities to Cisco CX Cloud solution. The team is local to Krakow, Poland and work on new project on AWS, with Java Spring Boot, K8s and Elastic Search.
