An outstanding opportunity to join us in this role in which you will work with a large scale system processing terabytes of data daily, deployed in a distributed Linux and Windows environment. Main responsibilities include designing and delivering new features and updates to the existing features in the Market Risk Time Series application and other Market Risk applications within CRO IT (Chief Risk Officer IT) as required by the internal bank business functions and external financial market regulators.
The person in this role will become a member of a project team located mainly in Wroclaw, focused on strategic business projects, e.g. FRTB, and architectural changes to the existing application stack, e.g. migration to cloud.
The TSRD system integrates with multiple third party applications over a number of different programming interfaces, which is a great experience for software engineers to use a wide range of existing and preferred technologies.
The existing team consists of over 35 people, including developers, QAs, BAs and DevOps/L3 support engineers. The development work is done by two Scrum teams located mainly in Wroclaw, collaborating closely with colleagues in UK and India. Senior Java Developer with architectural and design experience to join a strong software development team of closely collaborating skilled individuals. Person in this role will be exposed to challenges related to distributed systems, latency, multithreading, transactions, race-conditions, asynchronous processing vast amount of data. The core of the application is based on Java stack (Spring, Hibernate, Jgroups, EhCache) and there are a number of modules utilizing other technologies like .Net or Python. To ramp up quickly candidate should have proven technical background, good learning skills and ability to quickly find required information.
