Risk Analyst – Institutional Client Risk Management

Working with us, you will be responsible for:

This role will work with Client Services and Investment Risk to deliver high quality reporting and support initiatives that contribute to the overall Institutional Client Experience.  

Responsibilities:

• Develop proficiency with performance and risk systems used to deliver Institutional Client reporting.
• Assume Risk Group oversight and expertise on cross asset-class reporting needs for a specified group of clients
• Shepherd important client requests
• Serve as Risk Group liaison to other FT Institutional Client Experience teams with respect to assigned group of accounts
• Evaluate and monitor internal processes for ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness of required client reporting
• Serve as Risk Group point person for any reporting problems that arise with assigned accounts
• Providing regular feedback to the Institutional Client Experience team on quality of analysis and accuracy issues.
• Assume an ownership attitude for Risk Group impact on Institutional Client Experience
• Build department wide data used to operate efficiently (i.e. Account / Client / Reporting requirement relationships)  
• Identify areas in need of operational improvements.
• Assist in larger scale projects/initiatives related to the Institutional Client Experience as a Business Analyst.
• Think out-of-the-box, offer ideas and meaningful input for improvements

We are looking for candidates who have:

Education and Experience:

• Under-graduate degree (ideally finance, business and/or accounting-related)
• Requires 3+ years of relevant investment industry experience
• Prior project management, investment management operations experience desired

Important Skills:

• Solid understanding of stocks, bonds, mutual funds
• Experience with Risk Systems, internal FT systems
• Strong quantitative abilities
• Highly developed attention to detail
• Organized, calm under pressure, excellent communicator
• Adept with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
