Your field of responsibility

An outstanding opportunity to join us as the Quant Developer Incubator which is a unique program designed for junior .net developers that would like to start or boost their professional career in the financial sector. Program participants will have an opportunity to acquire programming, DevOps and financial skills throughout a combination of on-the-job learning, business focused projects, and in-house technical and business trainings.

You will gain exposure to different areas of the group and work closely with experienced team members on challenging tasks. You will have an opportunity to extend existing and design new features in a range of applications used in finance, including:

• C#/F# micro-services
• Large scale C#/F# applications and services
• Frameworks and core libraries written in F#, C# and C++
• Large scale Continuous Integration systems using TeamCity, C# and F#
• After one year, you will have the freedom to choose a career path within Quantitative Analysis and Technology.

Your future colleagues

Quantitative Analysis and Technology (“QAT”) is a global team responsible for modelling complex financial instruments within Credit Suisse. Those models are used daily by traders for pricing potential transactions, risk teams to evaluate existing positions and IT systems to fulfil various back-office responsibilities. Your skills and experience

Key requirements for the role are:

• Knowledge of at least one major programming language (C++, C#, Java, Python) or F#
• Understanding of good software practices – automated tests, continuous integration, agile methodologies
• Outstanding written and verbal communication with proficiency in English. Proven ability to manage work effectively under pressure
• Willingness to learn C# and F#

The following will be advantageous:

• Proven experience with some of: web services, low latency applications, web development, WPF
• Knowledge of the functional programming paradigm or functional languages such as Haskell or Scala
• Undergraduate degree with honors in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Physics, or equivalent level commercial experience
• Experience in the financial sector
