The Remote Framework is Nokia´s customer connectivity solution and connects 17.000 internal Nokia employees to more than 700 of our customers. The Remote Framework focusses on secure connectivity, legal compliance, export control and data privacy compliance and is a part of a complex echo system to realize that.

The Remote Framework contains several software components/subsystems that interact with variety of applications as well as users (Nokia engineers) by producing a service such as human access to telco equipment. Service automation is the clear focus for the future. The platform is globally distributed and serves users from 6 datacenters and 70 servers. Your work will focus mainly on the essential part of Remote Framework portfolio Nokia Remote Access Solution (RAS ServiceNode). The RAS ServiceNode is a Nokia product that is designed to give the customer management control and visibility of all the connections towards customer network. The RAS ServiceNode makes the remote support activities easier for the customer and significantly reduces the time required for maintenance activities on the customer network. The RAS ServiceNode is It is a highly secure and efficient platform that enables the delivery of other Nokia Services to the customer.

On daily basis, you will be a part of software development team and you will work in close cooperation with the architecture and the project management team. Your responsibility will cover:

• design and development of RAS ServiceNode – part of Nokia Remote Access Solution platform.
• implementation of new functionality / use cases
• ensure good quality of code
• cooperate with other team members

We work with:

• Python
• Redhat, Docker
• MySQL and MariaDB
• GIT
• HTML5 / CSS / JavaScript

Our expectations:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Software Technology or equivalent education
• at least 3-5 years of professional experience with software development in Python
• basic admin skills for Redhat based Linux distribution
• RPM packaging skills
• Bash scripting knowledge
• basic knowledge of SQL query language
• experience with MySQL and/or or MariaDB appreciated
• Docker / LXC knowledge appreciated
• KVM and/or VMWare experience appreciated
• analytical thinking
• teamwork skills
• good communication in English (both written and spoken)
• ready to relocate to Wroclaw, living in or nearby
