Operations Consultant, Global Trade Services
The Operations Consultant will be responsible for leading and participating in continuous improvement initiatives and projects in areas such as: trade settlements, collateral management, regulatory reporting, SWIFT messaging. When necessary, this position provides production support by analyzing and troubleshooting production issues and assisting in the day to day operations.
Lead and/or support operational business process improvements and initiatives related to functional business units.
Develop and define requirements, solution design, testing and training, support throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Ensure all department staff are engaged throughout the process and prepared for the deployment.
Leading and/or supporting testing activities, related to new projects or any initiatives.
Lead team meetings, address issues and drive the team to complete activities timely.
Address and/or escalate when needed any issues which prevent the team from moving forward with the project.
Provide training & overviews to support upcoming changes, to ensure all impacted staff are aware and prepared.
Education, knowledge and experience:
Solid understanding of all security types, the investment management industry & financial markets.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics preferred.
3+ years of experience in financial services/securities processing.
Project management and/or business analysis experience welcome.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook
Working knowledge of back-office investment operations systems.
Experience in regulatory reporting (MiFID, EMIR, ASIC) and SWIFT messaging would be considered a plus.
