What is the New Horizon for Project Managers Program?

When you participate in the program, you will learn about Cisco Services and how to become a successful Project Manager in the IT industry from our experts through a series of virtual seminars and webinars. You will have a chance to grow your project management knowledge and trying different services projects as well as becoming a certified Project Manager according to industry standards. Your experience will also help you to develope your professional network, as you explore life at Cisco and see what we can accomplish together as a business.

  • This is a unique opportunity to become a Cisco employee, jump-starting your career in project management with Cisco via a six-month, full-time training. During the training you will be employed by Cisco Systems and be compensated.
  • You will develop the vital technical skills required to be a Project Manager and learn what it is like to work at Cisco.

What do you need to enroll?

  • You have a passion for organizing people and processes to deliver outcomes, and are looking to change your career for the direction of project management.
  • Masters/Bachelors degree in any field (philology or linguistic preferred)
  • 4+ years of full-time experience in a people-facing position (e.g. teacher, event manager, travel agent)
  • Proficiency in English AND German or French (other languages might be considered in future editions of the program)
  • Able to attend a full-time training program
  • Currently based in Poland
  • Ready to take risks and embrace new challenges!
  • Previous project management or technical knowledge is NOT required

What roles are available?

You will become a Customer Project Manager in Customer Experience Center. Customer Program Managers deliver projects to customers based on Cisco technology solutions.

What does a day-in-the-life of a Project Manager look like?

  • Working with the most sophisticated and innovative cutting-edge products and solutions
  • Delivering projects which include planning, crafting, and implementation to Cisco’s Professional Services Customers to accelerate customer outcomes.
  • Delivering projects in network migration from Cisco to Cisco or any competitive platforms to Cisco, coordinating Cisco technical resources and customer’s change management processes.
  • Delivering technology solutions maintenance and acceleration projects within Business Critical Services support contracts.
  • Work with Cisco engineers and Sales on the customer engagement team to ensure delivery of project scope in time and within predefined cost.
  • Identify & influence additional business opportunities in collaboration with the sales team by leveraging relationship with customers.
  • Ensure smooth closure of project milestones and subsequent revenue flow as forecasted.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor for customers in the scope of projects led.

What does the selection process look like?

There are three rounds: application review, recruitment interview, role-playing and assessment and hiring manager interview. The application process is currently open and the initial selection process will take approximately 3 weeks.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate’s hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. hiring location. The recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.

U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
