Your Role and Responsibilities

This role concentrates on the Network design of infrastructures including servers, storage, public cloud, workstations, middleware, non-application software and the physical facilities that support the applications and business processes required by the client.

Responsibilities

• Included in the focus areas is the critical evaluation and selection of the software and hardware components of the infrastructure
• Best practices in this role use various techniques including modeling, simulation, and testing to validate the designs and selected products
• Infrastructure / Network Architects are responsible for performance, availability and scalability of the infrastructure

• WAN , MPLS, VPN
• Network Data Center Structures
• Load Balancer
• Incident / Change / Escalation Management for network area in collaboration with technician teams, account management and provider
• Project support e.g. Data Center moves, Implementation of technical solutions
• Cost management
• Shared infrastructure services – support multiple accounts on running network infrastructures, new projects, focal and interface for account management and provider (e.g. AT&T)
• Architecture Framework applicable knowledge (TOGAF, Zachman, TeamSD)
• Fluent English and German Speaking and Client Facing Skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• SD-WAN solutions
• Private Wireless (5G) solutions
• Practical knowledge of public clouds (one or more from: IBM Cloud, Amazon (AWS), Microsoft (Azure), Google (GCM))
• Practical knowledge of private cloud and containers (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker), knowledge of GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, Jenkins or other DevOps tools
