Who are we looking for?

As Middle Office Expert within Alternative Investment Services (AIS) business division you will be responsible for ensuring team compliance with operating policies, procedures and guidelines in the accurate and timely servicing of your clients vanilla and exotic OTC transactions. In addition you will take charge of creating efficiencies, resolve complex queries and enhancing overall client satisfaction. The position is available within MIddle Office OTC Transaction team.

The team you will be joining is within the Poland Middle Office Tower in the Alternative Investment Solutions department which is a part of State Street Global Delivery, the largest financial services provider in Poland. AIS is a recognized industry-leading provider of fund accounting, fund administration and risk services to hedge funds and private equity funds. These services are fully integrated to provide complete end-to-end solutions that span the front-, middle- and back-office requirements of institutional investors.

Your new role

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.
As Middle Office Expert – Alternative Investment Services, hybrid, Senior Associate you will:

  • Help coordinating day to day tasks and ensure the daily tasks are completed and accurate
  • Maintain your primary portfolios, trading in all type of vanilla and exotic OTC transactions and related products
  • Overview of daily reconciliation breaks, while ensuring all breaks are followed up and escalated to local Manager, Client &/or client where necessary
  • Perform daily Local Oversight of the Associate’s work
  • Closely cooperate with brokers, custodians, fund accountants, various internal stakeholders and other third parties
  • Address the queries from the team, provide guidance and support from technical perspective, responsible for SOPs set-up and review
  • Involved in new client & fund Onboarding activities
  • Work on productivity and efficiency improvement projects
  • Lead improvement and transformation projects collaborating with Oversight and Local management
  • Co-ordinate system enhancements or new requirements on behalf of the team

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with in finance, accounting, economy or technology is preferred
  • Work experience (3-4+ years) in Middle Office, Funds Industry, Investment Services, Finance or Accounting area
  • Broad and in-depth understanding of the Fund Administration industry, gained through working in a any of asset management /Fund Administration disciplines
  • In-depth knowledge of financial instruments with focus on OTC market: Equity, Futures, Options, Fixed Income, FX, Swaps (IRS, CDS, TRS, etc.)
  • Broad understanding of standards, methodologies, processes, systems and technology necessary to support investment management operations
  • Flexibility in working outside of your responsibilities and areas of expertise
  • PC literate – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word skills necessary
