A junior economist
who will work under the supervision of the management board of CASE.
Responsibilities
- provide assistance to project teams during the conceptualization and execution of different research projects, including data analysis, statistical and econometric interpretation, drafting of analytical papers, etc.
- support the research team and application team to write research proposals • provide help in the conceptualization and implementation of a new database and modeling system for CASE.
Requirements:
- Education: MA in Economics or equivalent + at least 1 year scientific working experience related to labour market issues and (micro)econometric modelling;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English;
- Good command of Polish;
- Advanced computer skills, knowledge of and experience with major statistical and database packages (STATA, SPSS, E-views and MS Excel);
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and international teams; • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work flexibly and cooperatively, strong team spirit.
Duration of the contract: This is a full-time fixed-term appointment. After a trial period of 1 month, the period of initial appointment would be 6 months with the possibility of renewal on the basis of satisfactory performance and availability of project funds.
Starting date: as soon as possible
