An outstanding opportunity to join us in this role as we are looking for a Java Developer who joins our Messaging EMEA Warsaw Team. You will be responsible for analyzing business and technical needs, design, and develop various messaging supporting tools and APIs required for a modern IT environment. You will be working in DevSecOps model according to agile methodologies utilizing modern CI/CD tools. You will have opportunity to work in next generation IT world with new technologies.

We are also opened to expand the role according to new opportunities or your special capabilities and interests.

You will be part of Global Messaging Team, a dynamic working environment servicing Global platforms that integrate 600+ internal and external applications, preparing to implement the latest Cloud, Automation, and Container Initiatives. We are critical to Credit Suisse’s Day-to-Day Operations, and Java Developer role is to ensure Strategic Evolution and Stability Enhancements. Your skills and experience

You should offer the following:

• Enterprise Java application development background (3 years) with a focus on Java in complex IT environment and proven practical experience in building FE and BE (Java 11, Spring Boot, JSpring MVC, JPA, Maven)
• Deep understanding installing, maintaining and monitoring Java applications on Linux, proficient skills debugging and performance tuning of Linux based applications
• Experience with process automation using scripting languages such as Python and Bash, running on a Linux platform (RHEL 6/7/8).
• Comprehensive knowledge around software development tools (including CI/CD tools), e.g.: Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, SVN, and Artifactory
• Fluent English, critical thinking, results oriented, decision-making, excellent analytical and outstanding interpersonal skill-set including communication; good organizational and problem solving abilities
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives

Nice to have:

• University degree in computer science or equivalent qualifications
• Capability to design highly available, scalable and resilient applications/architectures
• Knowledge and practical working experience in agile development and DevOps
• Expertise in the software lifecycle and application development best-practices
• Experienced in creating web services and REST API’s
• Ability to partner with senior stakeholders both in the team and across the bank
• Experience of using messaging (e.g. using JMS), as a frame of reference for the project.
• Experience of Docker Containers
• Experience migrating enterprise grade solutions to cloud offerings, knowledge around building maintainable and automated tests with frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito and Selenium
