IT Software Architect

About the project

We build and maintain, companywide R&D laboratory asset management solutions utilized to manage whole life cycle of an asset starting from purchase up to disposal. We implement user community requirement on daily basis supporting business process changes.

We aim for cloudification, database optimization, modularity with micro services, better user experience by user interfaces redesign.

Daily activities

IT Software Architect understands business requirements and creates a cohesive vision of a usable solution that is fit for purpose and that works within the enterprise architecture technical boundaries. Defines, documents and maintains solution designs for area of expertise. This includes analyzing technical trade-offs, determining the primary components and subsystems, and identifying the interfaces and collaborations. Assures solution aligns with strategic direction and EA principles by partnering with business and IT on solution architecture design and driving common alignment with enterprise architecture. Ensures technical integrity and consistency of the solution on every stage of its lifecycle. Solves highly complex problems and develops original, innovative solutions with broad impact on the business. Collaborates with key stakeholders to analyze ideas and demands for architectural fit and contributes to cost/benefit analysis and estimation documents. Ensure all developments are fully documented, meet high level design requirements, as well as regulatory & industry standards so projects are fit for purpose. Anticipates internal and external business challenges and / or regulatory issues and drives improvements that create competitive advantage. For solutions provided by an external vendor, the IT software architect will take the lead role in reviewing and discussing all technical solution designs to ensure they meet the needs of the program and Nokia EA standards & Guideline.

IT Software Architect leads team of software engineers in R&D project. Defines set of best practices applied by the team.

We work with:

• Java EE
• Java Script, JQuery, CSS, HTML5, Bootstrap
• Spring, MyBatis framework
• Eclipse IDE/SDK, Tomcat, Apache, Docker, Git/Gerrit
• Linux

Our expectations:

• 8 years practical software engineering and architecture development experience in Java EE
• Experienced in Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Familiar with Continuous Delivery concepts and supporting tools
• Open minded team player with can do attitude
• Experienced in Project Management
• Fluent in English
