Your field of responsibility

The main objective of the role is to lead and provide direction for the performance and delivery of the IT issue management activities, which covers all aspects of the issue remediation lifecycle from issue identification and logging, through to action resolution and closure post any reviews required. This includes overseeing, managing and ensuring the implementation and consistent operation of the process to raise and manage IT issues against the IT and infromation security risk taxonomy. The role also includes overseeing and managing the process for identifying systemic IT issues, by guiding the execution of global read-across exercises and delivering consistent IT issue reporting to the relevant governance committees.

Your future colleagues

You will lead the establishment and running of the IT Issue Governance and Remediation Service within a central IT Risk and Control capability supporting the Head of IT Control Design and Optimization and overall Head of IT Risk and Control, who reports directly to the Head of CTOO Resilience, Governance & Risk and ultimately the Group CTOO. The vision for the newly established capability is to build, embed and sustain the safe, effective and efficient management of IT risk, respond proactively to the changing regulatory and threat landscapes, protecting customers and colleagues, and giving the business confidence to make timely, informed decisions at pace. Your skills and experience

We are looking for:

• Deep and broad understanding and experience of IT risk and control frameworks, industry good practice, application and technology control design, and Operational Risk. Knowledge of IS/IT control frameworks, professional standards, and leading practices including professional qualifications and certifications (e.g. COBiT, NIST, ITIL, COSO, CISA etc.) is desirable.
• Proven track record of inclusively leading, developing and supporting a small team on topics of IT Risk and Control, such as issue remediation management and governance, to deliver outcomes to a high quality and timely.
• Proven experience of engaging and building relationships across Technology to solve thematic issues and gain consensus from multiple stakeholders, drive resolution of issues and actions within required timeframes.
• Ability to present complex issues confidently and concisely to Technology Senior Executives and other key stakeholders using non-technical easily understood language.
• Track record in identifying root causes and developing efficient solutions to address those root causes with experience in providing support and advice to IT teams and the business across divisions and geographies to support thematic and timely issue remediation.
