IT Infrastructure Service Manager

As the Location Infrastructure Service for Bosch Locations (outside the Global or Regional Data Centers), we ensure effective and timely coordination of Infrastructure activities and overall management for the specified sites by applying appropriate processes, services and tools.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Location Infrastructure Consulting
• Consulting on and integrating of Infrastructure Products into local environment in alignment with corporate standards
• Supporting and coordinate process of ordering required infrastructure components
• Building and maintaining relationships with all relevant stakeholders
• Driving related Business Plans and support Hardware Lifecycle Management
• Managing risks related to the on-site infrastructure services

Data Management
• Ensuring data quality by maintaining information in all related tools  (e.g. CMDB, FNT)
• Delivering facts, figures and info regarding Managed Infrastructure Services (reports, dashboards)

Management and development of IT infrastructure architectures
• Developing standard and custom infrastructure configurations
• Supporting rollouts of future prove platform for container- / microservice based applications
• Implementing IaC (infrastructure as code) architectures with high automation degree

Required knowledge competencies and attributes

Knowledge
• Extensive experience in build and run of infrastructure services
• Very good understanding of IT architecture
• Knowledge of multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments (virtualization, server OS, storage, container technologies etc.)
• Application development methodologies, agile methods and processes, project management, service management
• Awareness of  IT security requirements
• Automation and/or scripting experience (Ansible, Powershell) would be an advantage

Skills
• Fluency in spoken and written: English (German would be a plus)
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Service-oriented mindset
• Strategic and analytical thinking
• Ability to communicate and convince on all hierarchical levels and different cultures
