Sustainability Developer

IKEA Distribution Services (DS) North Europe is a crucial part of IKEA’s Supply Chain. We are responsible for delivering the IKEA range to customers and stores in Northern Europe within agreed quality, agreed time and at lowest possible costs.
We are more than 2000 passionate co-workers, located in Poland (Warsaw, Jarosty), Russia (Moscow) and Sweden (Älmhult, Torsvik, Helsingborg) Norway (Oslo), Denmark (Copenhagen) and Czech Republic (Prague).
IKEA Service Business Fulfilment North Europe, which is part of DS, with 60 passionate co-workers, is responsible for plan, purchase, operate and follow up the Service execution of customer core services.

We are looking for a

Sustainability Developer
within Service Business at Distribution Services North Europe with location in our office in Janki/Warsaw

Category Service Business is responsible for sourcing, developing and operating the Service Partner network for home delivery, Assembly and Installation services. IKEA is on an exciting growth journey becoming more accessible to the many people. We are investing heavily to develop all sales channels to become customer first choice. As Sustainability Developer within Category Service Business You will be part in developing our future network for our different Services as well as develop our Service Partners to meet our Sustainability goals. You will be working as a specialist for your country/countries but also work in matrix to support our Global Category. We´ll offer You a diverse working place with great development possibilities in a fast developing area.

Your assignment

• Creating and maintaining sustainable logistic set ups in close cooperation with external business partners as well as internal actors in Supply Chain
• Give support, provide competence, challenge and drive the sustainability agenda within the Service Business organization and with external Service Partners
• Develop tools to evaluate the sustainability performance of our Services Partners
• Facilitate trainings for Service Business teams and Service Partners
• Investigate new technologies and solutions on sustainability in transportation and Services
• Monitor relevant legislation for sustainability and safety related topics in transportation & Services
• Evaluate, reports and follow up on the sustainability performance and KPIs on the Area transport & Services level
• Identify and monitor potential risk aspects within sustainability connected to our Services activities

Is this the right challenge for you?

• Transport, logistics or environmental studies or relevant work experience
• Proven knowledge of the transport industry, logistics and/or sustainability
• Fluent in Polish and English, both written and spoken
• Function requires ability to travel (30-50days/year)
• Good knowledge of PC applications e.g. MS Office
• Good communication and influencing skills
• Service oriented and open-minded
• Ability to analyze, take initiative and suggest improvement potentials
• Ability to find new solutions and to optimize the existing ones
• Able to see IKEA as a whole and keep the focus on the IKEA customer
