GSS Competence Development Manager

Group Shared Services (GSS) executes transactions across Finance and HR and, by this, enables its business partners to focus on the core businesses. Our ambition is to be an IKEA competence centre in the field of transactional administrative tasks and to provide best value services. Together with IKEA Group functions and countries we actively support the standardization, harmonization and automation of the processes we are involved in. Today we deliver our services through two Shared Service Centres (SSCs) located in Poznan and Shanghai. SSHR Baltimore will become part of our organization in September 2016.
The main purpose of GSS Competence Development Manager role is to:
- Support GSS to develop highly performing, knowledgeable people within GSS business scope
- Analyze, design and implement GSS HR Solutions (such as: talent management, performance management, competence development, succession management) in line with IKEA approach and best in class practices
- Contribute to, participate and drive talent management activities related to HR initiatives in order to build GSS Talent Management framework
- Actively build relationships and enable the opportunities to share talent information with other IKEA BU
- Collect the input, analyze and identify competence development needs and actively manage the common GSS learning portfolio to be sure it is up to date and address the competence development needs
- Lead the HR projects related to the implementation of HR Solutions
To successfully fit this role you need to have:
- Good, practical knowledge of the HR related solutions such as: Talent management, performance management, competence development, succession management
- Good, practical knowledge about Learning and Development practices and techniques
- Project management skills and experience
- Challenges existing solutions to seek improvement, explores best practice solutions
- Demonstrates openness to others’ ideas and dares to be different
- Uses common sense and simplicity
- Communicates in a simple, straightforward and inclusive manner
- Strong network and relationship-builder both within and outside of own organization
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Min 5 years relevant experience within the area of responsibilities and preferred 3+ years as a manager and experience in larger international structure

The position is based in Poznan/ Poland and reports to GSS HR&Communication Manager
