Your field of responsibility

Group Finance Technology group of Credit Suisse is looking for a front-end developer for the build and maintenance of its key web application supporting critical regulatory requirement that supports the process of capturing wind down decisions and exit strategies from front-office trading departments.

The role requires the candidate to:

  • Produce front-end apps to create a polished and highly functional user interface with a focus on usability and simplicity of design.
  • Creating prototypes, wireframes and mockups for discussion with design partners.
  • Collaborating with business change and IT teams during implementation of user stories.
  • Integrate with back-end database and implement advanced requirements for data capture, presentation and persistence using SQL and Python.
  • Participate in testing process through unit and functional testing.
  • Support bug fixes, change requests and functional enhancement on the code; provide escalation support in BAU environment.
  • Coordinate with Design team and Test team for requirements and defects.
  • Follow the change and incident management process.

Your skills and experience

The candidate is responsible for build and maintenance of an internal web application supporting a key regulatory requirement. Industry experience on large and complex IT projects with good technical skills across front-end development frameworks is preferred.

Essentials Skills:

  • JavaScript skills are mandatory (React is desirable but other JavaScript frameworks will be considered).
  • Basic level Python is mandatory.
  • SQL skills are mandatory (ideally Oracle, however, knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL will be considered).
  • Experience of working in Agile development environment using Scrum methodologies and familiarity with Git, Jira and Confluence.
  • Results-oriented individual with outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills (but not mandatory):

  • Tableau/ Qliksense
  • DevOps (mainly containerization and Jenkins).
  • Detailed knowledge of automated testing frameworks for front end technologies – Cypress/Selenium.
  • Banking experience
