Who we are looking for

The EMEA Financial Investigation Unit (FIU) is seeking to recruit an experienced financial crime investigator, based in Poland, to undertake often complex investigations to identify and assess the risks associated with money laundering or other financial crimes. The role holder will have experience of such investigations, a relevant qualification, the ability to work without close supervision and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As EMEA FIU Investigator you will

  • Undertake case investigations to determine whether the highlighted activity is indicative of money laundering or other financial crime concerns
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of the investigation process and communications with MLROs and other stakeholders
  • Produce investigation reports, summarizing key information and rationale for decisions and recommendations
  • File suspicious activity reports (SARs) on behalf of the UK MLRO as directed
  • Create accurate management and key risk information to provide relevant MLROs and senior management with oversight of suspicious activity
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Global FIU and business areas
  • Perform targeted assessments and other investigations at the direction of the EMEA Head of Financial Crime
  • Identify and escalate new or emerging financial crime risks

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years experience conducting financial crime investigations or analysing complex transaction monitoring alerts in a banking environment
  • A relevant financial crime qualification (such as ICA or ACAMs) or being prepared to study for such a qualification
  • Understanding of custody and asset servicing/management business
  • Familiarity and experience in analysing large data sets, and any relevant software associated with that activity, would be an advantage
  • Strong Microsoft Office application skills
