Export Control Classification Specialist

Tasks:

• Assigning export control product classification for new products
• Completing and reviewing export control product classification
• Embedding and maintaining correct and complete export control product classification in SAP GTS
• Blocking and releasing shipments in SAP GTS or related systems
• Preparing supporting documentation and reasoning for classification determinations related to an internal audit trail and due diligence
• Assisting the team in Germany with the development of classification procedures and due diligence requirements necessary to EU trade compliance
• Developing and fostering relationships with internal departments, Plant and Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Procurement, and other areas involved in export activities

Profile:

• University degree in engineering or similar technical areas
• Distinct technical understanding
• Experience in EU export control classification
• Basic knowledge of EU export control regulations
• Ability to work with cross-functional and diverse global teams
• Good communication skills (fluent English required and German preferable)
• Experience with SAP GTS preferable
