The Global Shared Services (GSS) organization within DNV GL provides high quality, cost effective services and processes within Human Resources, Finance and IT, based on requirements defined by the business areas and Group. GSS also develops central competence for distinct services, projects and development and will support policy, procedures and system implementation on a global, regional, and local level.

Local Unit & Position Description

DNV GL is in the middle of a digital transformation, and we foresee significant digital development in the coming years. Our Digital Channels unit develops DNV GL’s common digital platforms and builds solutions together with business units globally and we are currently experiencing truly exciting and challenging times. Therefore, we are now strengthening our team and are looking for a SharePoint Developer. As a SharePoint Developer, you will create solutions running on our SharePoint Server and Office 365 platforms.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping DNV GL’s digital ecosystem. You will work alongside a team of talented architects, designers and developers.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development project lifecycle from prototyping and design to build, integration and QA
• Optimization of applications to scale in a geo-distributed environment
• Build applications that are consistent across all browsers and platforms
• Analyze and improve code performance
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

Position Qualifications

• Technical skills & experiences
• Solid knowledge of SharePoint Server and Office365 platform knowledge in general
• Solid experience in building add-ins for SharePoint, as well as hosting options for SharePoint customization
• Solid experience in building custom user interface components for SharePoint
• Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
• Experience in Visual Studio, ASP.NET / ASP.NET MVC and C#
• Familiar with Visual Studio Team Services or similar application lifecycle management tools
• Familiar with JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, bootstrap, react, angular
• Familiar with TypeScript
• Familiar with the Office 365 Developer Patterns and Practices (PnP) initiative
• Knowledge of Microsoft Flow, PowerApps and the SharePoint framework is a plus
• Knowledge and interest in using monitoring and instrumentation to optimize performance
• Knowledge about technology trends in Office 365 / Azure, and other platforms/tools
• Understanding of cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and hybrid cloud scenarios

Other qualifications

• Masters’ of science or Bachelors’ degree in computer science or related fields
• Relevant work experience from IT consulting or software development
• Solid development skills
• Interest and understanding of DevOps concepts, such as automation, monitoring and provisioning
• Understanding of usability concerns
• Good written and oral English skills (English is the corporate language of DNV GL)
• Experience with translating business needs into user friendly solutions with business impact. This includes preparing realistic estimates and keeping total cost of ownership in mind
• Willing to work in projects with geographically distributed team members
