Our global Information Security Compliance Team is central to Akamai’s commitment to get ahead of changes in the security standards space. We are a team of security subject matter experts. We translate compliance requirements into technically verifiable stories that provide guidance to engineering teams and explain our procedures to assessors.

Partner with the best

You will be managing a cross-functional team of infosec professionals and program managers who deliver security programs. Collaborating with most of Akamai teams you will be establishing and guiding goals and consensus. You will play a key role in delivering an exciting strategic roadmap for Akamai and its customers.

As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing ongoing auditing and improvement of control systems and reporting on issues and resolutions to executives and colleagues
• Building and managing a team of security enthusiasts that provides security and compliance consulting expertise across Akamai
• Collaborating with a cross-functional project team to scope, set timelines, create technical solutions, and support the ongoing implementation of compliance initiatives
• Working closely with security architects, engineers and stakeholders to design controls for compliance and IT control standard
• Designing and executing strategic initiatives and global programs related to control and process improvements

To be successful in this role you will:

• Be self-motivated, highly responsible and have good communication skills
• Have relevant experience in IT security, IT risk management or IT audit
• Present an ethical approach, show integrity, personal drive and be able to uphold Akamai values
• Have experience with industry compliance and security standards including one or more of the following: SOC2, PCI, ISO 27001
• Be experienced in managing teams and initiatives across geographies
