The European Fundraising Association (EFA) is a network of 27 member associations and observers from across Europe. Together we represent the European fundraising community with one voice, one collective body and one shared goal of facilitating better fundraising.

Chief Executive Officer, EFA
Reports to: EFA President and Board of Directors
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the senior management of the member associations and the Board of Directors of EFA to develop and implement an organizational fundraising strategy
- Lead EFA’s policy activity at EU level
- Implement and manage EFA key events like skillshares and webinars
- Identify funding opportunities and write grant proposals
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors and supporting organizations
- Oversee local and international fundraising and awareness events
- Implement the strategy for the newsletter, the website and Social Media based on EFA’s communication strategy
- Represents EFA in all stakeholder engagement
- Local and international travel may be required.
Required Qualifications:
- Entrepreneurial person who is able to lead EFA
- Proven ability to work proactively and independently to achieve EFA’s goals.
- Strategic thinking and inspirational individual
- BA (minimum; MA preferred) in Non-Profit Management, Public Policy, International Studies, Public Health, Social Work, Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related area of study
- 3-5 years of experience in campaign management and advocacy in the nonprofit sector, including development and fundraising, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.
- Interest in and understanding of policy making at the European and national level
- Successful grant writing experience; familiarity with European practices and CRM databases
- Knowledge of various fundraising practices
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English, Fluency in at least a second language (desirable)
- Ability to accept a working post in any European Union member state. Experience in teamwork and collaboration/communication with a diverse team is desirable
