Associate Translation specialist

(Fixed-term contract for 2 months)

Job description:

FT Translation Management Team is responsible for completing the day-to-day tasks associated with translation management, from monitoring the Translation Management System, reviewing and processing invoices, to liaising with numerous marketing and legal departments around the globe. They are the single point contact for all local teams in 30 countries who require translation support, and utilize state-of-the-art translation technology like CAT tools and a Translation Management System on a daily basis.

The Associate Translation Specialist will support this team in managing translation requests during an upcoming large-scale marketing materials’ update. It is a unique opportunity to:

• gain first-hand experience as regards translation management in a global customer environment,
• receive training in and work with MS Office applications and translation technology tools,
• learn basics about vendor management policies and direct customer expectations as regards translators and translation quality.

The ideal candidate:

• An interest in the Translation Industry
• Knowledge of 2-3 languages, English fluent
• Solid organization and communication skills, self-motivation and –management skills;
• Very high attention to detail
• Familiarity with MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Upbeat, positive personality; intelligence, aptitude, and great attitude
• Dedication to excellent customer service
