Accountant / Senior Accountant (fixed-term position 18-months contract)

This role has the primary responsibility of ensuring efficient, effective delivery of external and internal financial reports for Franklin Templeton legal entities in an accurate and timely manner. In addition, this role also has the responsibility to ensure that the Franklin Templeton legal entities’ financial records are in compliance with local regulatory requirements, internal control requirements, as well as FT Finance policies and procedures.

The incumbent is also required to assist in preparing various reports on Franklin Templeton legal entities, which may be generated on a periodic or ad-hoc basis and performing analysis on financial and non financial parameters in regard to these legal entities.

We’re offering a fixed-term contract for 18 months for Accountant or Senior Accountant position (depending on candidate’s experience).

Working with us, you will be responsible for:

• Undertake overall corporate accounting function for corporate entities and perform month end close as required.
• Ensure timely update of books of accounts as per the relevant GAAP.
• Prepares and submit as needed Regulatory reports and Tax/VAT returns.
• Prepares first draft of Board deliverables for the corporate entities responsible.
• Work on Month-end/Year-end closing and streamline processes.
• Provide support for Year-end audit related issues across the region as required.
• Participate in team meetings across the region to understand needs and support where required.
• Take part in optimization, automation and digital innovation projects.
  Take part in cross-functional collaboration to enhance accounting, control, financial and operational support.
• Understand how the business works and the upstream and downstream activities that impact and are impacted by Finance.
• Perform all other job-related duties as requested.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• A university degree in Accounting or in a related field (e.g. Economics, Finance)
• A minimum of 3 years related experience in a global or multi-national organization, in similar department
• Knowledge of relevant GAAP, reporting requirements and taxes preferred
• Fluent in English (written & spoken)
• Good command of additional European language a plus
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office applications)
• Ability to maintain flexibility, to plan and organize tasks, and schedule work to meet deadlines
• Ability to build collaborative, trust-based relationships with staff and customers in a local, international and multi-site environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player
