5G Continuous Verification Engineer

Position description and career opportunities:

We’re a passionate team of engineers who explore the great world of software integration and verification, are not afraid of taking new risks, using new methods, concepts, testing on newest hardware and technology.

Our team is working with new 5G technology in which Nokia plans to be a market leader. The main focus is on verification of new features using real hardware configurations set up in a dedicated laboratory. We work in continuous integration mode with close cooperation with the development and system engineering teams. We use ROBOT Framework for automation and Python for scripting. So if you have experience in any of these fields or you are willing to learn, you’re welcome to check if it’s a place for you! We want you to be open-minded and able to think outside of the box. On top of that, you need to be at least communicative in English.

As an Engineer 5G Continuous Verification, you will have an overall responsibility for specific entities (e.g. features), including: planning, design and execution of tests in own area. You will: coordinate activities within own area of responsibilit, develop your expert knowledge, solve complex engineering problems in own technology area, coach other team members in solving basic engineering problems, participate in reviews of own or neighboring projects, undertake technical training responsibilities.

Our team is looking for talented engineers for software verification to join our team and build the 5G technology. You will be joining other extremely-passionate engineers that share a common interest in distributed systems, performance, scale, and solving problems. You will solve complex problems using the best technologies available. The technical complexity involved in truly delivering on that mission should be something you are excited to tackle.

Requirements:

• knowledge of software testing (ISTQB certification)
• knowledge of telecommunication standards (3G/4G)
• experience and knowledge of test automation and script/programming languages (Robot, Python)
• knowledge of IP networks and / or Linux OS
• knowledge of SW development methodologies (Agile/Scrum)
• at least communicative English
• don’t have experience in something listed? We don’t mind if you’re a quick study
• don’t see a technology you love? Tell us why we should know about it

Bonus points:

• experience with signal and/or spectrum analyzers
• experience with virtualization (KVM)
• experience with Jenkins CI tool
• knowledge of Docker
